About me
Christine Flores spent over two decades teaching English at the secondary level before becoming a teacher librarian. She is currently starting her twelfth year in a high school library with Central Unified. In addition to taking a leadership role on site and in the News and Media Literacy District Fellowship program, she also maintains and supervises two literacy outreach programs: Kinder Tech Buddies and Athletes as Readers and Leaders. Christine supports teachers on her site to teach News and Media Literacy curriculum while serving on the district AI committee. Her goal for this school year is to ensure that district leadership, administration, teachers, students and community members understand the merit and necessity of teaching and learning news and media literacy curriculum.
